This 10-time Grammy winner remains the most beloved personality in polka music today. With the inclusion of 3 songs by East Coast polka pioneer Frank Wojnarowski, Polkapalooza could be called a return to Jimmy’s roots. Yet, Sturr’s characteristic imaginative touches are ever present in songs like “Bayou Pon Pon” with Flaco Jimenez on accordion and Faron Young’s country hit, “Alone with You” done polka-style.
